Christmas FAQ
Christmas at Farmgate is all about sharing good food with family and friends. Our festive range includes everything from exceptional meats to accompaniments and pantry favourites.
Please read through the following information so we can make your ordering process as simple as possible.
When can I place my Christmas order?
Orders are open now and will close on Sunday 14 December 2025.
We recommend ordering early, as popular items often sell out before the cut-off.
Pricing & Deposits
All Christmas meats are priced by the kilogram. For larger items such as hams, turkeys, ducks, geese and turducken, weights can vary.
To secure your order, we take a deposit of approximately 80% of the expected price at the time of ordering. Once your item is prepared and weighed, the small remaining balance will be payable at pickup.
As these are natural, variable products, exact sizes can’t be guaranteed. However, we’ll always do our best to match your preferred size so you take home the perfect centrepiece for your table.
Can I have my order delivered?
Yes – excluding seafood, delivery is available in the week prior to Christmas (Monday 15 - Saturday 20 December 2025). Spaces are limited, so please book early.
Please note: For the first time this year, we’re offering a limited number of local deliveries within the Sutherland Shire in the days leading up to Christmas (Monday 22 – Wednesday 24 December 2025). Spaces are very limited and will fill quickly, so we encourage you to place your order as soon as possible to secure delivery.
How do I collect my order?
When placing your order, simply select your pickup location and date at checkout.
Pick-up is available from:
Farmgate to Plate Miranda (pick up is available during shops opening hours)
Farmgate to Plate Burraneer (pick up is available during shops opening hours)
The Shire Farmers Market, Sutherland – Saturday 20 December 2025 only
Please note: Orders that include fresh seafood can only be collected on Christmas Eve from your chosen Farmgate store.
Christmas Eve hours: All Farmgate stores will close at 2pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025.
What if I need to change or cancel my order?
Changes can be made by contacting us directly before 14 December 2025. After this date, we cannot guarantee any changes to your order and no refunds will be issued on cancellations after this date.
Do you keep stock available in-store?
Our stores will remain open right through to Christmas Eve, with plenty of festive options available. However, we cannot guarantee availability unless you pre-order.
